Washington Commanders Business Panel and Stadium Tour Event
This is the third year we are working with the Washington Commanders Football team and providing an opportunity for students to listen to front office personnel, get a tour of the stadium and then attend a football game (December 3rd against Miami Dolphins). You can choose dates of October 11, 17 or 19th. Time is 10:30 am - 1:00 pm and lunch is provided on the day of the tour. Come to enjoy some time and then enjoy the game at a later date. DECA Night with DC United
DC United will be back for 23-24! Date Announced! Saturday, October 14th! Time: 3:30 PM for panel meet and greet and game time of 5:00 pm against Ghana. Cost is $40 per ticket which includes a $20 meal voucher. So if you love soccer, or even if you don't, you want to make sure you join this activity to listen to a panel of front office personnel about the Sports Entertainment Market and take in a game. DECA members are invited to participate in the DECA Stock Market Game (SMG).
NEW DATES ANNOUNCED!
Staring September 11th through October 20th Students will need to register for the Stock Market Game. Advisors should be contacted to register interested DECA members.

Participants in the DECA SMG test their investment knowledge and skills against other DECA members by managing a diversified portfolio of stocks, mutual funds, bonds and cash. Students can access their investment portfolios via a web browser on any device or on The Stock Market Game mobile app (by the SIFMA Foundation) available on Android or Apple. With competitions coming up soon, it's time to start thinking about what you will wear to your competitions. Professional dress is required for all events. And a DECA blazer or navy/black blazer will work for Regionals, but come States and ICDC, only a DECA blazer will do for being in front of a judge. Power Trip 2022 in Washington D.C. was an amazing experience. Clubs from Oakland Mills HS, Reservoir HS, Montgomery Blair HS, and Richard Montgomery HS were able to attend this once in a lifetime experience in our Nations Capital. They got to experience many different breakout sessions and participate in a Role Play.
Reservoir HS Senior, Ogo Taiwo won a medal for the Role Play, scoring a 100%. Congratulations to her and her achievement. The event included hundreds of DECA members competing in the role play activity. Next year, Power Trip takes us to Austin Texas November 17-19, 2023. All four regions will be represented next year.
Washington Commanders Business Day 2022 was held on a rainy October 13th, 2022 at FedEx Field in Landover MD. Over 1000 people from Maryland and Virginia DECA attended this one day activity that gave members the opportunity to explore the facility and hear from a few Washington Commanders Executives.
Maryland DECA will be returning to the Commanders day with two options for attendance for the panel. October 10th, and October 17th, 2023 with the game on December 3rd, 2023 against the Miami Dolphins.
This was a great opportunity to learn about Sports and Entertainment Marketing and also tour a Professional Football facility. Members got a behind the scenes look at the locker rooms, training areas and explored the football field! The rain could not dampen the spirits of all who attended and we look forward to attending next year!
